JAY WILLIAMS, President

Jay joined the Bankers family in August 2009 bringing with him over 30 years of insurance industry experience. His diversity ranges from agency  to association experience where he has proven to be a natural leader. Jay’s knowledge and experience includes direct insurance production, developing and running an agency marketing department as well as being an agency owner/principal.

Prior to joining Bankers, Jay spent almost nine years with the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) which is the Florida affiliate of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America (IIABA). In addition to being the Managing Director of FAIA Member Services, the for-profit subsidiary of FAIA, he also taught continuing education classes in Florida as well as across the country. Jay is also a faculty member of the Big I Virtual University and participates in their ask an expert panel.

Jay holds the following designations – Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), Associate in Insurance Production (AIP), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), and Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR).

JOHN B. GEIS, Sales and Marketing

John has over 25 years’ experience managing and directing the information technology, financial and operations functions for a wide variety of companies. He has an outstanding track record in implementing high-value applications on time and on budget, controlling operating costs in high-growth environments, attracting and retaining team-oriented staff members, and cultivating excellent working relationships with customers and vendors.

John joined Bankers Employer Services in 2006 and is responsible for creating a sales distribution channel that leverages existing corporate relationships and developing new PEO sales capabilities. Prior to joining Bankers Employer Services, John served as the Vice President of Business Development for Progressive Employer Services, Inc. He also served as Vice President, CIO of Gevity HR (fka Staff Leasing, Inc.).

John holds a BS from the University of Dayton in Ohio, majoring in Physics and Accounting. He is a frequent speaker at NAPEO meetings on technology challenges in the industry. He is a founding member and serves on the Steering Committee of Tampa Bay CIO Council, is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, and the Florida and Ohio Societies of CPA’s.
 

RANSOM PRICE, Workers' Compensation & Underwriting and Loss Control

 

Randy has extensive experience in workers' compensation programs, underwriting and loss control for a variety of companies. Joining Bankers Insurance Company in 2006, Randy is responsible for the development, implementation and management of workers' compensation underwriting risk selection and loss control systems.   

Prior to joining Bankers Insurance Company , Randy served as Director, Agency Services for Unisource Administrators; Risk Manager for Sunwest PEO; Vice President of Loss Control Underwriting for Professional Business Owners; Director of Loss Control Underwriting for Florida Employers Insurance Company; and as Safety Engineer for several companies.

Randy received a Masters in Public Health from the University of Tennessee, where he also received his BA. He received a Masters in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern in Florida.

 

John J. Housand, Workers’ Compensation Claims  

John is a highly qualified, growth-driven leader with specialization in workers’ compensation insurance operations. John is experienced in program development, case management, customer service and quality assurance. 

John joined  Bankers Insurance Company in 2006 and is responsible for establishing a new workers’ compensation claims administration division which includes the evaluation and selection of claims administration software, and implementation of bill review, case management, pharmacy management, subrogation and investigation programs.

Previously, John served as Vice President of Claims for Southeast Personnel Leasing, Inc., as Regional Director of Broadspire, as Regional Manager of RSKCo, and as Branch Manager for a division of CNA Insurance.

John received an MBA in Business Management and Healthcare Management from the Florida Institute of Technology and an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling from Florida State University, where he also received a BA in Psychology. Additionally, John holds an All Lines Adjusting License in Florida, is a Certified Case Manager, Certified Vocational Evaluator, and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.
